Football Recap: Beauregard Skates Past Holtville with Ease

Beauregard got themselves on the board against Holtville on Friday, but Holtville never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Bulldogs 27-0. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Hornets had established a 20-point advantage.

Beauregard's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Davis Fuller, who picked up 52 receiving yards and two scores. Jordan Jackson was another key player, rushing for 61 yards and one TD on only seven carries.

Beauregard was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 255 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Beauregard's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Kaleb Lowe, Brody Morand, and Tae Foreman, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Beauregard's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Holtville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Coincidentally, Beauregard and Holtville will both be playing Central of Clay County the next time they take the field. The Bulldogs will host the Volunteers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Hornets will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
