After a string of six wins, Anthony Wayne's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Springfield Blue Devils. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Generals were not able to get on the board.

Anthony Wayne's defeat dropped their record down to 17-3. As for Springfield, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-8.

Anthony Wayne and Springfield should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Generals will take on Whitmer at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (2 vs. 228). Meanwhile, Springfield (ranked 48th) will meet Napoleon (ranked 192nd) at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
