Soccer Game Preview: Ashbrook vs. Stuart W. Cramer

Ashbrook is 0-10 against Stuart W. Cramer since April of 2021 but things could change on Thursday. The Greenwave will host the Storm at 6:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Ashbrook came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Crest, falling 4-0.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Stuart W. Cramer's offense. They lost 5-0 to South Point on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Stuart W. Cramer can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 353rd, while South Point are ranked 87th).

Stuart W. Cramer has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Ashbrook, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12-1.

Ashbrook suffered a grim 7-1 defeat to Stuart W. Cramer when the teams last played back in March. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Greenwave were down 3-0.
