Basketball Game Preview: Metea Valley Mustangs vs. Lindblom Eagles

The Metea Valley Mustangs just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Lindblom Eagles at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Metea Valley's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.

On Friday, everything came up roses for Metea Valley against Naperville Central as the team secured a 72-43 win. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Lindblom lost 70-45 to Whitney Young last Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 166th, while the Dolphins are ranked 44th).

Metea Valley's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-11. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.7 points over those games. As for Lindblom, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-15.
