Basketball Recap: Mcauley Catholic Drops Season-High Score on Everton

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask McAuley Catholic). They claimed a resounding 66-21 victory over the Everton Tigers. The win was familiar territory for the Warriors who have now won three matches in a row.

Everton lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Cameron Sanders, who posted two points. The dominant performance also gave Sanders a new career-high in blocks (two). Noah Morris was another key player, putting up three points.

McAuley Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Everton, their loss was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-15.

McAuley Catholic will face off against Golden City at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Golden City knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully McAuley Catholic likes a good challenge. As for Everton, they will square off against Walnut Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
