Basketball Recap: Parkview Christian Academy Wins Going Away Against Somonauk/Leland

Parkview Christian Academy lost to Somonauk/Leland back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Falcons blew past the Bobcats 49-23. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 26 points or more this season.

Parkview Christian Academy found their leader in freshman Rhen Staudacher, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Staudacher is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tessa New, who posted 11 points along with seven steals and five assists.

The victory made it two in a row for Parkview Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 7-1. As for Somonauk/Leland, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parkview Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Newark at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Somonauk/Leland, they and Streator will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played.
