Basketball Recap: Chicago Washington Comes Up Short

Chicago Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Bogan Bengals and fell 59-14. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bengals apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Lauran Atkins was nothing short of spectacular for Bogan: she dropped a double-double on 27 points and 16 steals. Atkins has become a key player for Bogan: the team is undefeated when she posts at least three steals, but 5-7 otherwise. Harmony Burgs was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to eight steals and seven rebounds.

Chicago Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Bogan, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-7.

Chicago Washington will face off against Agricultural Science at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bogan, they will square off against Julian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Julian's defense has only allowed 27 points per game this season, so Bogan's offense will have their work cut out for them.
