Softball Recap: Nashville Christian Takes a Loss

After flying high against Tennessee Heat last Friday, Nashville Christian came back down to earth. The Eagles fell just short of the Goodpasture Christian Cougars by a score of 6-5 on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost four in a row.

Addison Oberbreckling made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Amelia Page, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one run.

Nashville Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Goodpasture Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-10 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Nashville Christian will take on rival Davidson Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Goodpasture Christian is set to face off against their familiar foe Mount Juliet Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
