It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Oak Hills ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 victory over the Serrano Diamondbacks. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Diamondbacks recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Seth Marcil was excellent, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Mcclain, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.
Oak Hills hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Serrano struck out seven times.
Oak Hills' record is now 12-8. As for Serrano, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.
We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Oak Hills will take on rival Hesperia at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Serrano is set to challenge their familiar foe Burroughs at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
