Volleyball Recap: Weddington Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Ardrey Kell came into Tuesday's game looking for another win against Weddington, but Owen Conklin wouldn't allow it. The Warriors came out on top against the Knights by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday with plenty of help from Conklin, who had 21 digs and two aces. He is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last four games he's played.

Weddington had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-17, 25-17, 25-13.

Weddington's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2. As for Ardrey Kell, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 9-1.

Weddington wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Covenant Day on the 9th. As for Ardrey Kell, they will host Legion Collegiate Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
