Clovis was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Madera apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2022.

John Kasten put in work no matter where he played. He tossed an inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Kasten was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs, a triple, and two RBI.

Kasten wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Drake Davis, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Clovis dropped their record down to 20-10 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Madera, they now have a winning record of 15-14.

Clovis does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Madera, they will head out on the road to face off against Clovis North at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Clovis North's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Madera's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
