Basketball Recap: Notre Dame Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Notre Dame was the 67-57 winner over South Webster when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Notre Dame Titans received a blow on Saturday as they fell 53-37 to the South Webster Jeeps. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 307th, while the Jeeps are ranked 47th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Webster to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eli Roberts, who went 6 of 13 en route to 14 points in addition to eight rebounds and three blocks. That's the most blocks Roberts has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Dylan Shupert, who posted seven points along with eight boards and three steals.

Notre Dame's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-4. As for South Webster, their victory bumped their record up to 14-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Notre Dame will challenge Manchester at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Manchester will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Notre Dame surely won't give up without a fight. As for South Webster, they will head out to challenge Waverly at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Webster is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.5 points per game this season.
