Volleyball Game Preview: St. Rita Mustangs vs. St. Francis Spartans

The St. Rita Mustangs will take on the St. Francis Spartans at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Rita is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

On Monday, St. Rita came up short against Oak Park-River Forest and fell 2-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-17.

Meanwhile, St. Francis can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Downers Grove South. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Spartans have posted since April 8th.

St. Francis' win bumped their record up to 10-12. As for St. Rita, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-17.

St. Rita couldn't quite get it done against St. Francis when the teams last played back in May of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
