Red Bank Catholic extended their winning streak  to six  on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 8-1 in the process. They walked away with  a   6-1  win over the Morris Catholic Crusaders. For the Caseys, this counts as revenge for the   6-3 victory the Crusaders walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in April of 2024.
 Lily Hagan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a  run (which was  unearned)  on five hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts any time she's  pitched this season.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Nicole Knox, who  went 2-for-4 with three  stolen bases, one  run,  and one  double. Those  three  stolen bases gave  her a new career-high.  Grace Lombardi was another key player,  going 3-for-4 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double.
As for Morris Catholic,  with the  defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-3. Having soared to a lofty 14  runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.
On Morris Catholic's side, they also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in:  Sofia Reisinger gave up  just two earned  (and four unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up eight Ks.
 At the plate, Morris Catholic saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Marielle Balonze, who  went 2-for-3 with one  stolen base and one  RBI.
 Looking ahead, Red Bank Catholic will be playing in front of their home fans against Marlboro  at 3:45  p.m.  on Thursday. The Mustangs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5  runs per game  this season, so the Caseys' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Morris Catholic, they are taking a road trip to  take on St. Anthony's  at 11:00  a.m.  on Thursday.
