With a playoff win on the line, Maclay rose to the challenge on Friday. They were the clear victor by an 8-0 margin over the Trinity Catholic Celtics. The result was nothing new for the Marauders, who have now won 16 matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Trinity Catholic with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Luke Daunt (3), Zac Scovotto (2), Barnes Ray (2), and Gavin Slocum.

Maclay's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those seven contests. As for Trinity Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.

Looking ahead, Maclay will host Episcopal School of Jacksonville at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Episcopal School of Jacksonville will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Maclay surely won't give up without a fight. Trinity Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
