Shakirah Edwards leads Rutherford to victory over Lincoln

Recap: Rutherford Rams vs. Lincoln Trojans
Even though the Lincoln Trojans scored an imposing 63 points on Tuesday, the Rutherford Rams still came out on top. Rutherford blew past Lincoln 84-63. With Rutherford ahead 59-35 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Shakirah Edwards had a dynamite game for Rutherford, dropping a double-double on 33 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Nautica Bouie, who scored 17 points along with 8 assists and 6 rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Rutherford and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rutherford will take on Deltona at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Deltona focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 34 last Tuesday. As for Lincoln, they will head out on the road to face off against Chiles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Chiles and Lincoln are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
