Softball Game Preview: Mortimer Jordan Blue Devils vs. Bibb County Choctaws

The Mortimer Jordan Blue Devils will be taking part in a tournament against the Bibb County Choctaws at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Mortimer Jordan will face Bibb County after dropping another heartbreaker against Helena on Friday, which marked the third time in a row the team's come within 2.1 of beating them. The Blue Devils lost 7-0 to the Huskies. The match marked the first time this year in which the Blue Devils were not able to get on the board.

Mortimer Jordan saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aubrey Liveoak, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Bibb County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against McAdory, falling 7-0.

Mortimer Jordan now has a losing record of 14-15. As for Bibb County, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-17.
