East Wake Academy won the last time they faced Research Triangle and things went their way on Friday too. East Wake Academy was the clear victor by a 6-0 margin over Research Triangle. Considering East Wake Academy have won four contests by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Research Triangle with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Hannah Turner (2), Leila Gonzalez (2), Haley Batchelor, and Michelle Duffy.

East Wake Academy's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three matches. As for Research Triangle, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Wake Academy will challenge Franklin Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Franklin Academy will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something East Wake Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Research Triangle, they will head out on the road to face off against NCSSM: Durham at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
