Preview: Northview Chiefs vs. Laurel Hill Hoboes
Northview is 0-8 against Laurel Hill since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Northview Chiefs will head out on the road to square off against the Laurel Hill Hoboes at 4:30 p.m. Northview is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Northview suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Friday. They fell just short of Pensacola Christian Academy by a score of 47-44. Northview has struggled against Pensacola Christian Academy recently, as their matchup on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Luke Diamond, who scored 18 points. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of JACOB SPENCE, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 18 rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though Pensacola Christian Academy scored an imposing 66 points on Saturday, Laurel Hill still came out on top. Laurel Hill took their matchup against Pensacola Christian Academy 78-66.
Northview has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Laurel Hill, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Northview came up short against Laurel Hill when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 61-55. Can Northview avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
