Volleyball Game Preview: Northland Christian vs. Rockhurst Hawklets

Northland Christian is on an eight-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Rockhurst is on a seven-game streak of away wins (also dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. Northland Christian will welcome Rockhurst at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

On Tuesday, Northland Christian got the win against Rock Bridge by a conclusive 3-0.

Meanwhile, Rockhurst faced Park Hill South in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Hawklets were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Panthers.

Rockhurst walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-17, 25-12, 25-16.

Rockhurst's victory bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Northland Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Northland Christian suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Rockhurst when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Northland Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
