The Naples Golden Eagles will venture away from home to take on the Charlotte Fightin' Tarpons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Naples is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Naples is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They lost 10-4 to Aubrey Rogers.

Naples saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was KEVIN ORTEGA, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. NICO BLANCO was another, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Charlotte's offense. They fell just short of North Port by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Fightin' Tarpons were not able to get on the board.

Adrian Moreno was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.

Naples' defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Charlotte, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.

Naples skirted past Charlotte 3-2 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Naples since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
