Syracuse came tearing into Saturday's contest with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Murray Spartans as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 on Friday.
Gabe Meredith paced Syracuse's offense, picking up 12 kills. Meredith got some help from Talon Morris and his 28 assists. Finally, Meredith was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.
Syracuse's victory bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Murray, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Syracuse will head out to challenge Weber at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Murray, they will challenge Stansbury at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
