Football Recap: Teaneck Skates Past Kennedy with Ease

Teaneck won against Bergenfield two weeks ago with 42 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. The Highwaymen took their game with ease, bagging a 42-7 win over the Kennedy Knights. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-7.

Special teams was a major factor in the game for Teaneck, racking up 17 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Kevin Randolph, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

The victory (which was Teaneck's third in a row) raised their record to 5-4. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.3 points on average over those games. As for Kennedy, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Teaneck and Kennedy will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Highwaymen see the field they'll take on Hackensack at 10:30 a.m. on the 27th. As for Kennedy, their break will end when they face Eastside on the 27th.
