Volleyball Recap: Hoboken Takes a Loss

Hoboken was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Peter's Prep Marauders.

Hoboken started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-17, 25-17.

Hoboken's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for St. Peter's Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Hoboken does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Peter's Prep, they will take on Oratory Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
