Basketball Game Preview: Bradley-Bourbonnais Boilermakers vs. Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings

Bradley-Bourbonnais is 0-4 against Homewood-Flossmoor since December of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Bradley-Bourbonnais Boilermakers are taking a road trip to challenge the Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings at 6:30 p.m.

Bradley-Bourbonnais is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Thursday. They had to suffer through a 57-24 loss at the hands of Lockport. While losing is never fun, the Boilermakers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 455th, while the Porters are ranked 34th).

Meanwhile, Homewood-Flossmoor humbled Grayslake Central with a 65-35 victory. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 22 points or more this season.

Homewood-Flossmoor is also on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 16 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.2 points per game. As for Bradley-Bourbonnais, their loss dropped their record down to 3-15.

Bradley-Bourbonnais was dealt a bruising 56-18 defeat at the hands of Homewood-Flossmoor in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Bradley-Bourbonnais was down 31-8.
