Basketball Recap: Dee Davis' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Westside over Easley

Westside was the 71-58 winner over Easley when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Rams took a 76-69 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Green Wave on Sunday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (55), the Rams still had to take the loss.

Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dee Davis, who went 7-for-14 on his way to 18 points. Davis is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Jonovan Webb, who posted 15 points and five boards.

Westside's defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Easley, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Westside will challenge Pendleton at 8:00 p.m. on December 1. Easley has already played their next game (against North Augusta), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
