Basketball Recap: Auburn Riverside Comes Up Short

Auburn Riverside lost against Kentridge back in January of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Auburn Riverside Ravens came up short against the Kentridge Chargers, falling 65-45. The Ravens have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Auburn Riverside saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Leroy Kinnay posted 17 points and six rebounds. Kinnay's afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Emediong Ukpe, who had 13 points.

Auburn Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Kentridge, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.

Auburn Riverside will be playing in front of their home fans against Non Varsity Opponent at 5:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. As for Kentridge, they will head out on the road to challenge Auburn Riverside at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
