Football Recap: Franklin Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Franklin fell victim to Stagg and their airtight defense on Friday. They were outmatched by the Delta Kings and fell 47-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Yellowjackets of the 42-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Stagg got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Darnell Holmes out in front who rushed for 145 yards and three scores while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. Holmes was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 65 yards. Stagg also got help from Lance Martin, who showed off his sure hands for 171 receiving yards.

This is the second loss in a row for Franklin and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for Stagg, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin will welcome McNair at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Stagg, they will be playing at home against West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolfpack will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
