Basketball Recap: Legacy Charter Gets the Win

Legacy Charter won the last time they faced Deltona and Khori Polarchy did his part to make sure it happened again. The Eagles strolled past the Wolves with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 69-55 thanks in part to Polarchy, who shot 42% from the field en route to 22 points along with eight boards and seven assists. The game was his third in a row with at least 21 points.

Despite the loss, Deltona had strong showings from Garcia Izryal, who went 5-for-7 to rack up 12 points, and Tim McCarthy, who shot 45% from the field on his way to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Nelson, who posted four points and six rebounds.

Legacy Charter's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Deltona, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season.

Legacy Charter has already played their next contest, an 89-66 win against Mount Dora Christian Academy on the 13th. As for Deltona, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-46 defeat against Lake Mary on the 13th.
