Softball Recap: Chaparral Comes Up Short

Chaparral was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 10-4 to the Temescal Canyon Titans. The Pumas were not able to make up for their loss to the Titans from their previous meeting back in March of 2022.

Keira Beierly made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in hits. Another player making a difference was Bryanna Arriola, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Chaparral's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Temescal Canyon, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chaparral will head out to take on Murrieta Mesa at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The match will give Chaparral their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Temescal Canyon, they will head out on the road to square off against King at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Temescal Canyon is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.
