Brookline won the last time they faced Wellesley and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Warriors narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Raiders 5-4.

Brookline got a great performance from Niko Rabiner as he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.

At the plate, Brookline's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Elias Brendel, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. That hit marked the first that Brendel got this season.

Brookline now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Wellesley, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brookline will head out to face off against Needham at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wellesley, they will take on Newton North at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
