Basketball Recap: Newtown Makes It Ten in a Row at Home

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Newtown). They blew past Queens Complex 87-49 on Monday. The Pioneers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 20 points or more this season.

Newtown's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26.3 points. As for Queens Complex, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-3.

Newtown will face off against Bryant at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Newtown is facing Bryant at the right time seeing as Bryant is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Queens Complex, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Metropolitan at 5:00 p.m.
