Baseball Recap: Pleasant Hill Comes Up Short

The Pleasant Hill Billies came up short against the Cascade Cougars on Wednesday and fell 5-1. The Billies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pleasant Hill saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caleb VanOrdstrand, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Kaden Fisher also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Pleasant Hill's loss dropped their record down to 6-4-1. As for Cascade, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pleasant Hill will take on Stayton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Billies surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cascade, they will challenge Crook County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
