Softball Game Preview: Othello Huskies vs. River View Panthers

The Othello Huskies will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the River View Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

Othello fell victim to College Place and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 10-0 to the Hawks.

Meanwhile, River View put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on Asotin with a sharp 19-9 win. 19 seems to be a good number for River View as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

The team relied heavily on Danika Koch, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Bree Stacy, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.

River View hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least one batters every time they've taken the field this season.

Othello's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for River View, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.
