It was fun while it lasted, but Onsted's undefeated season came to an end after 14 games on Thursday. They took a 43-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Madison Trojans. The match marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Onsted's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aidan Paquin, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 12 points and five rebounds. Talan Hutchinson was another key player, putting up ten points.

Leading Madison to victory were Bryce Jordan and Antonio Nieto. Jordan dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 boards, while Nieto posted 15 points. The game was Nieto's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kason Snyder, who had seven points and six rebounds.

Onsted's loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 14-1. As for Madison, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-3.

Onsted didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 41-38 win against Michigan Center on the 1st. Madison has also already played their next contest, a 60-46 victory against Western on the 4th.
