Baseball Recap: Plainfield East Takes a Loss

Plainfield East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They fell 5-1 to the Romeoville Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-5 on Monday.

Plainfield East's loss dropped their record down to 7-25-1. As for Romeoville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 19-13 record this season.

Romeoville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 16-3 win against Joliet Central on the 21st. Hopefully Plainfield East paid attention to the Spartans' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Spartans at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
