Softball Recap: Lamar Takes a Loss

Lamar couldn't beat Pleasant Hope on Friday even though they stacked eight runs on them in the second inning. The Tigers fell 14-10 to the Pirates. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Peyton Eddie was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last eight games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Jaelyn Timmons, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Lamar's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Pleasant Hope, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lamar will take on Early at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Pleasant Hope, they will welcome Spokane at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
