Softball Recap: Lehman Lobos vs. Dripping Springs Tigers

Lehman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-9 heartbreaker at the hands of the Dripping Springs Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 back in February.

Graciela Quiroz was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Mylei Donahue, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Lehman now has a losing record of 7-8-1. As for Dripping Springs, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4-1 record this season.

Lehman will head out on the road to challenge Liberty Hill at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Liberty Hill will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Lehman surely won't give up without a fight. As for Dripping Springs, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-4 win against Georgetown on the 13th.
