Softball Recap: East Iberville Has No Trouble Against North Iberville

The East Iberville Tigers made easy work of the North Iberville Bears on Wednesday and carried off a 22-12 win. Considering the Tigers have won six matchups by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

M. Arthur was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with five stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of H. Gilmore, who scored five runs and stole eight bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

East Iberville's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-12. As for North Iberville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Coming up, East Iberville will square off against Port Allen at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Pelicans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.47 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for North Iberville, they will head out on the road to take on Northeast at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
