Basketball Recap: Weldon Starts off Right with Win over J.F. Webb + How To Watch

Weldon had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They secured a 63-59 W over the J.F. Webb Warriors on Tuesday.

J.F. Webb's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Daniel Wright, who posted 17 points. Kaylin Thorpe was another key player, putting up 13 points.

J.F. Webb's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Weldon will take on Rocky Mount Prep at 7:30 p.m. on the 10th. As for J.F. Webb, they will challenge Roanoke Rapids at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
