Soccer Recap: Normal West Comes Up Short

Normal West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Peoria Notre Dame Irish. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Normal West of the 5-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Normal West's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 13-3-1. As for Peoria Notre Dame, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-3-3.

Coincidentally, Normal West and Peoria Notre Dame will both be playing Centennial the next time they take the pitch. The Wildcats will host the Chargers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Irish will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
