Basketball Recap: Riverton Takes a Loss

Riverton and Sacred Heart-Griffin squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Riverton had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Sacred Heart-Griffin Cyclones 59-12. The Hawks just can't catch a break and have now endured 18 defeats in a row.

Riverton's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Keirstan Shamblin, who posted eight points, and Jordyn Durham, who earned no points.

Riverton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-28. As for Sacred Heart-Griffin, the win got them back to even at 16-16.

Riverton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sacred Heart-Griffin, they will take on Pittsfield at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Pittsfield's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.
