Volleyball Recap: Emma Greene's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Century over Spring Grove

It was a proper cat-fight when Century took on Spring Grove on Saturday. The Panthers fell 2-0 to the Lions. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Century's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emma Greene, who had eight digs.

Among those leading the charge was Izabel Kaufmann, who had 13 digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last nine matches.

Century's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Spring Grove, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-7.

Century wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against John Marshall on the 27th. As for Spring Grove, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Tartan on the 27th.
