Soccer Game Preview: Bloom-Carroll vs. Warren

The Bloom-Carroll Bulldogs will venture away from home to challenge the Warren Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Bloom-Carroll came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Hamilton Township, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Bloom-Carroll can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 308th, while Hamilton Township are ranked 125th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Warren). They put the hurt on Belpre with a sharp 10-0 win on Wednesday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded Warren with their most commanding win of the season.

Warren has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-4-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those six contests. As for Bloom-Carroll, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1-1 and their overall record down to 5-7-1.
