Football Game Preview: Eastmont Wildcats vs. Sunnyside Grizzlies + How To Watch

The Eastmont Wildcats will head out on the road to challenge the Sunnyside Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sunnyside took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Eastmont, who comes in off a win.

Eastmont barely beat Davis the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildcats simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Pirates 49-12. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Sunnyside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by Moses Lake 49-13. While losing is never fun, the Grizzlies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 66th, while the Mavericks are ranked 16th).

Eastmont will have to contain Ryan Hendrickson as he made an impact in Sunnyside's last game. He rushed for 79 yards and a pair of scores.

The win got Eastmont back to even at 1-1. As for Sunnyside, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Eastmont won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, slipping by Sunnyside 28-27. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
