Hopkins had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 6-8 to make it four. They fell just short of the Kennedy Eagles by a score of 7-6. If the Royals were looking for revenge after losing 5-4 to the Eagles when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Kennedy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games.

Looking ahead, Hopkins will square off against Minnetonka at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Skippers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Royals' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Kennedy, they will face off against Washburn at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
