Baseball Recap: Pompano Beach Comes Up Short

Pompano Beach easily dispatched Plantation last Thursday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Pompano Beach Golden Tornadoes fell just short of the Coral Glades Jaguars by a score of 5-3 on Thursday. The Golden Tornadoes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Jaguars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

Pompano Beach saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Chodnoff, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Pompano Beach now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Coral Glades, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Looking ahead, Pompano Beach will welcome McArthur at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Coral Glades, they will head out to square off against Cypress Bay at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
