Basketball Recap: Clearview Comes Up Short

Clearview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Wellington Dukes, falling 62-41. The Clippers were down 47-27 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Brooke Lehmkuhl was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 21 boards for Wellington. The dominant performance gave Lehmkuhl a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kalynne Pickering, who went 5 of 11 en route to 13 points and eight boards.

Clearview's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Wellington, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-8.

Clearview will host Huron at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wellington, they will take on Keystone at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Keystone is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.8 points per game this season.
