Basketball Recap: Old Plank Christian Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Old Plank Christian Academy extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to six on Saturday, dropping them down to 0-2. They had to suffer through a 65-32 loss at the hands of the Ridgeview Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Defenders of the 64-29 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

As for Ridgeview, the victory got them back to even at 2-2. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Ridgeview got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Justyn Cappas out in front who went 5-for-9 to rack up 13 points and seven rebounds. Cappas is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Gavin Stechschulte was another key player, shooting 75% from the field en route to 14 points.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Old Plank Christian Academy will face off against Harvest Community at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ridgeview, they will challenge Temple Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 1.
