Softball Game Preview: Mexia Black Cats vs. BVCHEA HomeSchool Mustangs

The Mexia Black Cats will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the BVCHEA HomeSchool Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Mexia is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Itasca, falling 16-10. One positive for the Black Cats, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, BVCHEA HomeSchool lost 13-4 to St. Joseph Catholic last Monday.

Kaylee Crump was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Tilly Slagle was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.

Mexia's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for BVCHEA HomeSchool, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
